Each year, families sit down with their favorite, timeless Christmas movies. A Miracle on 34th Street has become a top choice of many. The film conveys a wonderful message for the season, and now it’s been adapted for a new audience.

Penfold Theatre has taken the story of a department story Santa and given it new life as a radio play. Employees of their fictional radio station, KPNF, use character voices and sound effects to present the tale. Both young and old will be captivated as Kris Kringle is put on trial for claiming to be the real Santa. Disillusionment and consumerism have infected even the most open-minded adults. Even Kris’ friends have been affected. To get everyone to believe in Christmas again, Kris will have to pull off a miracle.
