Whether or not you’re a history buff, history museums are great places to spend a couple hours. Texas has a fascinating history, and Williamson County has a wonderful museum to highlight our area’s history. It has standing exhibits to enjoy that are updated on a regular basis. The museum also hosts special traveling exhibits throughout the year and monthly exhibits that showcase local artists.

Upcoming exhibits include the societal impact of WWI on the county, a photographic exhibit of places of worship in the county, and a local photographer’s views of the Ukraine.

The main museum location is in Georgetown, and it’s open Wednesday through Saturday. There is also a branch in Round Rock on the Chisolm Trail that is open exclusively on Saturdays. You’ll want to check the website here for more information on hours and events.
